Nope. They use dust like gunpowder. You can see (in the original series) that some heavier rounds do have a significant drop. The alternative would be rocket propulsion, but that has still some drop and due to the acceleration is really weird to calculate and it's super sensitive to wind and other factors (plus movement of the barrel while it still slow)

Yeah but its obviously better than gunpower if allows bullets to pierce the hides of living incarnations of malice, and even damage people's auras which give them supernatural durability. At the very least it doubles the velocity to a point where no scopes could really calculate the drop off because it would only occur if the bullet travels beyond perceivable distance.

There are iron sights and red dot sights like that (for assault rifles with telescopic sights). I can only imagine how awkward they are...

All characters act like shy Japanese girls compared to bold original characters.
The plot feels like Final Fantasy clone.

This is OK as a fan-made art, but watching original gives you a much better experience.
